Is RentalComply free for landlords?
Creating an account and booking engineers is free - you just pay for the service you book. Your first property is tracked free. Each extra property you want tracked, with compliance status and renewal reminders, is £2 a month.
Do I need a plan to book an engineer?
No. You can book any service for any property without a plan, and its certificates are always there to download. The plan only adds compliance tracking and renewal reminders for extra properties.
When am I charged for a booking?
When you book, your card is held for the price shown. You're only charged once the engineer accepts the job. If they don't accept, the hold is released.
Which certificates does a rental property need?
In England, every rental home needs a valid EPC and an EICR at least every five years, a gas safety check every year if it has gas, and working smoke and carbon monoxide alarms. HMOs also need a fire risk assessment, and landlords should assess the legionella risk. Your dashboard works out which apply to each property.
Can my letting agent use my account?
Yes. Invite them from the Team page and they get their own login to see your properties, certificates and bookings, book services and message engineers. A team can have up to 2 people.
Can I cancel the plan?
Yes, at any time from the Plan page. Your properties, bookings and certificates stay in your account.
